Q: How do I see the data?
A: You must create a User to search the database.
Then, you will be able to do a search of the database by entering the name ( or partial name ) of the item. This will return the average price and the number of sales ( volume ) from all servers and markets ( both Freeport and Qeynos ) for the matching item(s).

Q: How much is it going to cost?
A: It is Free! Anyone who creates a User will be able to search the database by item name and get its average price and the number of sales that price is based on. For a small fee premium members will be able to search by price, volume, max price, min price, server ,market, and time frame. Also the data can be returned in a stock style chart showing daily high low avg and volume. charts will be available for all, 30, 90, or 180 day periods.(These premium features are not yet available)

Q: How do you collect the data?
A: It is all submitted voluntarily by members of the EQ2 Community. Players send in their store log files ( a simple text filed saved on your computer when you sell stuff in "merchant mode"), a simple process. The data is not collected by any sort of packet sniffer or other data transfer interception method.

Q: How can I help?
A: By sending in your store log files. The process normally only takes about 2 minutes. The more people who send in their logs, the larger the Database becomes making the prices more accurate for everyone. If you wish to donate to help offset the cost of the site you can do that here.

Q: What do I get out of helping?
A: A number of things. First, you get to help build the database and this means more accurate information for everyone including your self. Presently, we are offering members who submit their logs before the launch of the premium features one month free premium access to the site. Only a limited number of members per server will be allowed to take advantage of this offer and it will be a first come first served basis.

Q. What is EQ2Markets.com?
A.  EQ2markets.com is a community website for the MMORPG Everquest 2. We are compiling a database of player transactions through the broker system. Prices are available to members in a format similar to that used to analyze stocks, bonds, and other financial instruments.

Q: What is a contributor?
A: Contributors are members of the site who have commited to sending in updated copies of their sales logs on a regular basis. You will need to be add no less than 25 new transactions to the database on a weekly basis if you wish to be a contributor. Contributors get paid in the form of reduced priced premium memberships ($1 discount off the monthly price, a savings of 33 to 50%)
